Honey Grilled Chicken with French Fries and Vegetable Salad

Sunny days are always the perfect time to enjoy some mouth-watering grilled dishes and a super big bowl of vegetable salad. Sometimes, getting a little bit complicated in the preparation will make you feel more appetite and enjoy the peaceful moments in your kitchen. Even though grilled dishes and French fries aren’t really good for your health, but who can live a perfectly healthy life, right? Forget the boring diet, the weight for a while and enjoy your “junk” meals!

Now let’s have a quick look on how my friends and I did our dishes for a sunny day xD

Chicken honey marinade:

1. Honey

2. Finely chopped garlic and red shallots

3. Fish sauce

4. Salt, black pepper

Combine well the ingredients above and gently soak the chicken in the marinade. Set aside for at least 30 minutes before grilling.

Vegetable salad:

1. Your favorite vegetables (tomatoes, bell peppers, green oak lettuce, onions, cucumbers…)

2. Dressing (this time we used our delicious dressing with Provence’s herbs, but any kind of dressing still works well)

Gently wash and thinly slice/cut all the vegetables. Put in a large bowl, following by the dressing. Mix until combined.

Our dessert with Spain mangoes, yum =p~

Have fun with your sunny days,

Love, Trang Quynh

I would add a spoon of chopped ginger and a spoon of vegetable oil to the honey marinade.

A spoon of chopped ginger sounds really good, but personally, I don’t like to add vegetable oil because it will make the chicken too sticky and fat 😦
