Italian Meatball Sandwiches

IMG_7795

You couldn’t imagine how many times since I made these Italian Meatball Sandwiches, I wish I could have them for breakfast everyday. Yes, you may think I’m crazy because no one will ever need that much meat, and sandwich, and cheese to start a day, but just imagine in your head the awesome feeling of taking a bite, so flavorful, so warm and delicious of this sandwich before you have 5 hours of lecture waiting for you in the morning, now it sounds more convincing, right 😉

However, I have to admit that these babies will be better for lunch, you can prepare the meatballs the night before, then reheat them the next morning and stuff them in a hot and crunchy sandwich, add some slices of mozzarella and voila, lunch is all packed, and I’m pretty sure your friends (or your colleagues) will be jealous with you and your lunch box ^^

Peach French Toasts

Peach french toast 1Hanoi is getting sooooo hot these days, sometimes I feel like I can lay down on the ground and turn myself into a huge grilled… thing (or use the ground as a stove and cook everything on it, such a creative idea ^^). Anw, half of my summer vacation has passed and I can’t believe time flies that crazily fast, so now I only have 1 month left here which is a little bit sad though. Read More

Cheesy and Flavorful Egg In A Basket ;)

Since I’m pretty addicted to breakfast (I even have a strong belief that we can eat whatever we want: burgers, chips, chocolate cake, muffins, mac n cheese… during breakfast without gaining some pounds, but well, that’s obviously not the truth DX), I’m always hunting for ways that make my breakfast look fancier and more appetite (even though I will still enjoy the food in case they’re ugly). No, I’m not a ‘breakfast freak’ with the obsession of complicated and difficult dishes, Read More

Pulled Chicken Sandwich

Chicken sandwich 1

Hamburgers/sandwiches have became my obsession lately, they’re so easy, simple and fun to make, and of course, super delicious =p~ Today, I came up with the lovely Pulled Chicken Sandwiches which were inspired by celebrity chef Paula Deen. At first, when I read the recipe, I was a little bit confused because chicken breasts sound really dry, especially when they’re cooked in nearly 1 hour. But finally, the result turn out just amazing, the pulled chicken are soft, tender and flavorful, I served my sandwiches with fresh salad (salad+ caesar dressing), a pinch of shredded cheese and mayonnaise, mmmmm, they truly deserve thumbs up !!! Homemade “Fastfood”: Simple Burgers

Burger 1Today I suddenly crave for fastfood, I just wanna have so badly a hugeee burger with a juicy, flavorful meat patty, half-melted cheese slice and lots of mayonnaise and ketchup. But since I decided to balance my meals with more vegetables and fruits and workout a lot a little bit to get fit before summer comes (well, I have to admit that the main reason why a lazy girl like me can do things like that is because I need to lose some weight to fit look okay in my summer dresses and shorts and shirts, gosh, I should have eaten less millions years ago 😦 ), I came up with the idea of making some healthier “junk” food at home instead of buying at McDonald’s or Subway or Quick or Burger King (why do I have so many choices here, they just make my decision harder!) Warm and healthy breakfast: French Toast ^^

French toast 1It’s been such a long time since the last time I stayed long enough in the kitchen to make a warm and quite healthy breakfast like this. Back in the summer, when I was still at home in Vietnam, I always loved making breakfast. Sometimes, I baked some muffins which are the easiest baked goods to do (dry ingredients in one bowl, wet ones in other, mix and stir, mix and stir… voila, warm, fluffy and delicious muffins in less than 1 hour ^^). Sometimes, I heated up the oven with some bacon puffs, used my leftover bacon and cheese in the fridge and waked up everyone by the lovely aroma from the kitchen. And it would be a mistake if I don’t mention my favorite breakfast of all time, Cinnamon Toast, which reminds me of my busy high school life (yeah, I was kinda craving for these cinnamon toasts in that period and made them almost everyday, they used to be my snack before extra classes 🙂 ) and also my tiny kitchen at home with full of cool stuff (my baking tools and basics, cute plates,…)

Japanese Beef Curry

Curry again!!! Don’t know why these days I’m so in love with it, especially this Japanese Beef Curry. The creamy and buttery potatoes, soft and sweet carrots and of course, flavorful and absolutely tender diced beef. It’s usually enjoyed with a bed of rice, but I prefer dipping a small piece of bread in the curry for some seconds and gently chewing it with a spoonful of Beef Curry. Mmm, now I can still remember that beautiful moment… Besides this lovely dish, there are also many choices for your delicious curry: chicken, pork, seafood… and for the vegetarians, we already have vegetables curry ^^
